The
Center to Promote Health Care
Studies and Athena Health Care
System plans to conduct Leadership
Training for RNs and LPNs this
coming spring.
The training will be
presented in
Southington
,
CT
at the corporate headquarters of
Athena.
We are seeking someone
familiar with the healthcare
industry as well as with
experience presenting such topics
as skills in customer service,
effective communications, conflict
resolution, team building, problem
solving, stress management;
coaching, counseling and
confronting; managing resources
(equipment, supplies and people). These
will not be didactic sessions, but
rather highly inter-active,
engaging the participants in case
studies, group exercises, role
playing, self-assessment exercises
and group discussion.
Although the training hours
have not been determined, we are
thinking about
11am-2pm
and repeating the same topic on
the same day from
3pm-6pm
.
There will be 14 full days
of training.
On each of the days there
will be a new topic.
We will probably schedule
each class a week apart beginning
in mid or late March, 2007 and
concluding mid or late June. The
candidate must be personable, have
a high energy level, and be well
organized.
Compensation will range
from $4900 to $6000 depending upon
experience.
